All hail ADSL

I've only been able to have ADSL since August, and am probably still one of the only people that has ADSL in my area, how else can I explain my 60-80Kbps consistent downloads...

This all came in very handing when I made a cock up installing Gentoo Linux on my W2K machine and let it all go pear shaped. Thinking oh well, I'll re-tackle it another day, I found my MBR destroyed and machine refusing to boot. After the initial frustrated rants and streams of abuse hulled towards the machine, I thought "Oh well, I'll just re-install W2K" as I was planning on doing it anyway...

After installing, I ran the essential "Windows Updates" thinking how boring it was gonna be, but no, I have ADSL now and watched in amazement as the the bytes just flew down to my machine. So, yes, I have now realised that the extra bandwidth that ADSL gives you, has uses apart from downloading MP3's and other such tat.
